Emergency First Aid 

Our one-day Emergency First Aid course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively in emergency situations. The course covers a range of topics, including CPR, the use of an AED, and various first aid techniques. Experienced instructors employ hands-on and interactive teaching methods.


Course Overview:


Participants will learn how to assess and respond to a variety of medical emergencies, including heart attacks, strokes, and choking. They will also become familiar with basic first aid equipment and techniques, such as bandages and splints, to provide immediate care.


This course is suitable for individuals from diverse fields, including healthcare professionals, teachers, security personnel, and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to emergencies.

Course Content:


Introduction to First Aid (AB-CAB-SSS)

 - Definition

  - Roles and responsibilities of the first aider.

  

Identifying Hazards:

  - Highlighting common hazards.

  - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  - Disease transmission.


Use of Barrier Devices:

  - Gloves, face masks, shields.


Calling for Help:

  - Proper communication during emergencies.


Responsive Casualty Management:

  - Primary survey.

  - Choking (adult and child).

  - Demonstration.


Unresponsive Casualty Management:

  - Breathing: Recovery position (activity).

  - Non-Breathing: Adult resuscitation (CPR).

  - One-person CPR (if requested with trainer AED).


Shock Management


Severe Bleeding:

  - Applying direct pressure and using a pressure bandage.

  - Utilizing available materials for assistance (e.g., shirt, towel).


Dressings and Bandages:

  - Application for head, arms, and legs.


Minor Bleeding and Wound Care:

  - Cleaning wounds and analyzing for infection.


Head and Spinal Injuries:

  - Understanding the importance of spinal injuries.

  - Suspecting spinal injury and maintaining head immobilization.


Fractures:

  - Splinting for arms and legs.


Snake Bites:

  - General information and bandaging techniques.


Dog and Insect Bites:

  - Identifying sick dogs.

  - Importance of rabies vaccination.


Fire Safety:

  - Identifying hazards.

  - Safe evacuation (discussion only).

  - Fire Extinguisher demonstration.

  - Muster/assembly point.


Burns:

  - Understanding first, second, and third-degree burns.

  - Initial and secondary treatment.


Rescue Carries:

  - Techniques such as human crutch, blanket carry, and two-hand seat.


Practical Application:


Scenario Practice:

  - A simulated emergency with a "patient" exhibiting multiple injuries set up with hazards. Participants will apply their knowledge and skills to respond.

- General Q&A session.
